HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company find a Wire Harness Engineer – 3D CAD Designer to develop wire harness routing and design, along with mechanical design of electronic enclosures and electrical boxes.In this role, you'll be challenged to rethink what it means for hardware Design to develop a purpose-built vehicle that drives itself, working cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proficient in 3D modeling tools and CATIA V5/V6. You thrive in a fast-paced, engineering-driven environment.As a Wire Harness Engineer – 3D CAD Designer, you'll:Design and develop 3D wire harness models using CATIA V5/V6 ensuring quality, compliance, and manufacturability. Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings and documentation for wire harness assemblies, routing, and installation. Design electronic enclosures and electrical boxes, including mounting and interface features, for use in various environments. Collaborate with engineers to interpret schematics and/or sketches and convert them into accurate, manufacturable 3D harness designs. Ensure designs meet applicable standards for safety, reliability, manufacturability, and serviceability. Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), connector pinouts, wire tables, and cable schedules. Support prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting of harness assemblies and enclosures. Interface with suppliers and manufacturing to ensure design feasibility and support production transitions.
