HireArt is helping our client find a Wind Tunnel Test Engineer to standardize testing methodologies and ensure repeatable, accurate assessment of sensor degradation across a range of weather conditions.In this role, you’ll lead the technical execution of wind tunnel testing to evaluate how environmental factors, specifically wind and rain, impact sensor performance. Your work will directly support the development of robust sensing systems for real-world autonomous operation.The ideal candidate is a hands-on test engineer with a strong foundation in fluid mechanics who enjoys designing experiments, building test infrastructure, and translating complex data into actionable insights.As a Wind Tunnel Test Engineer, you'll:Lead the development, build-out, validation, troubleshooting, and support of wind tunnel–based test setups in lab and production environments.Define, document, and refine standardized test procedures, work instructions, and process workflows.Partner closely with engineering teams to ensure test strategies support product development, manufacturability, and system validation goals.Interpret and follow electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions to support test execution.Assist with the assembly and repair of wiring harnesses and related test hardware as needed.Travel between work sites to support testing, setup, and development activities.
