Job Description

·        Review insurance applications and supporting documents to confirm each submission is complete and meets company guidelines.

·        Enter applications, exposure details, and account information into the company software system.

·        Review commercial lines account files and request missing or incomplete information.

·        Review pricing and coverage information to help confirm premiums are accurate.

·        Manage the payment tracker and follow up to help ensure payments are received on time.

·        Assist with policy binding, policy issuance, endorsements, filings, invoices, renewals, and new business processing.

·        Assist with risk assessments, loss runs, and loss rating information.

·        Provide support to underwriting staff, management, and underwriters with daily insurance and underwriting tasks.

·        Build and maintain positive working relationships with team members, clients, and business partners.

·        Maintain strong attention to detail, reliability, and self-motivation in daily work.

·        Complete other related duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

·     High school diploma required. Experience in the insurance industry is preferred and an advantage

·        Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications, Applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

·        Strong technical underwriting and analytical skills.

·        Ability to learn new software programs.

·        Strong attention to detail, dependability, and follow through.

·        Ability to review, analyze data and present recommendations based on outcomes of analysis.

·        Ability to keep high level sensitive and confidential information as required by company procedures.

·        Strong work ethic and excellent time management skills.

·        Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with people throughout the organization.

·        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and also work as well as in a team environment.

·        Ability to handle complex issues and problems only deferring to higher-level staff when needed.

·        Ability to prepare and effectively present information clearly in one -on -one and small group settings with situations to customers, clients, and employees.

·        Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet productivity deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
