Salary Range: $92,196/yr – $113,890/yr plus Bonus

What We’re Looking For

Working as a Formulator on our Nutrition team, you’ll work to innovate and reshape our Nutritional product portfolio, creating innovative and high-quality supplement products that improve the health and wellbeing of consumers around the world. Your work will be centered around new products in a variety of delivery formats, to be sold across the globe.

As a Formulation Scientist, You Will

• Work with a cross-functional team of experts to design, develop, and optimize nutrition products that meet customer needs, stability and relevant regulatory requirements
• Lead focus groups to ensure wide product appeal for our customers globally
• Lead the innovation and technology assessment of new ingredients and processes for product development
• Review scientific literature and conduct experiments to evaluate the stability, efficacy, and safety of formulations
• Collaborate with our internal manufacturing plants or co-manufacturers to ensure the successful transfer and scale-up of formulations
• Collaborate with internal marketing and technical counterparts to bring innovative products to market in a timely manner
• Prepare and present technical reports, documents, and presentations to support product development and regulatory submissions
• Work on formulation development of gummies, lozenges, protein shakes/bars, powder, RTD’s. You will also work on tablets, capsules and softgels
  
  

Your key deliverable in this role will be ensuring that your formulations meet the profile, regulatory and cost parameters while always thinking about innovation, finding new ways to deliver, new ingredients, new partnerships, etc.

Required Qualifications

• A combination of education and industry experience:
• Experience: Product development in food, nutrition, or nutritional/dietary supplements.
• Ph.D (no industry experience required)
• Master’s degree in Food Science and 1 year of experience
• A Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience
  

Skills To Be Successful In The Role

• Proven exposures in scouting new technologies, ingredient assessments, formula and delivery form design, and product profile design
• Progressive experiences in formulation design from bench top development to pilot scale up, through manufacturing/commercialization
• Strong communication skills with talent to work both independently and with a team, as well as cross culturally
• Customer focused mindset demonstrating support for competing priorities
