Amtrak will be hiring experienced Digital Product Owners to support a wide range of initiatives within our Digital Technology (DT) organization.

Essential Functions
Opportunities will exist across multiple DT teams supporting customer-facing digital products, enterprise systems, internal tools, and modernization efforts across Amtrak.
These Roles May Support
- Product strategy, vision, and roadmap development
- Prioritization of digital product backlogs
- Requirements definition, including user stories and acceptance criteria
- Cross-functional collaboration with engineering, UX, data, and business partners
- Delivery of digital solutions that improve the customer and employee experience
- Tracking product metrics and supporting continuous improvement
- Leadership of larger product domains (Lead/Principal levels)
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience.
- 2 years of relevant experience preferred
Product Ownership & Delivery
- Acting as the voice of the customer, ensuring alignment between business goals and technical delivery
- Managing or supporting a digital product backlog, ensuring priorities reflect customer and business needs
- Translating business needs into well-defined features, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Understanding the product roadmap and helping guide team priorities toward strategic outcomes
- Supporting the definition and tracking of metrics to measure product success
- Foundational understanding of Agile methodologies; SAFe experience preferred
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Jira Align, FigJam, or similar
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to learn quickly and understand technical concepts enough to communicate effectively with engineering teams
- Leading product discovery and feature definition for more complex products
- Facilitating alignment across business, UX, and engineering
- Supporting or driving product strategy for a broader domain
- Mentoring junior team members or guiding cross-functional teams
