JOB REQUIREMENTS: POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible to ensure material
availability, pricing, and quality for production needs, including
information flowdown to suppliers both internal and external, to meet
contractual requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.
Source, monitor and negotiate with suppliers, during the bid process, to
obtain best pricing, quality and lead time value for the company on
materials used in the production process. 2. Plan, release, monitor, and
movement of purchase orders and delivery dates upon award of contracts,
as required to support production schedules through review of purchase
orders, inventories, and production plans for the company. 3. Coordinate
with suppliers for returns/replenishment of discrepant material to
minimize impact to production process. 4. Assist in supplier audits both
internal and external. 5. Interface with Suppliers, Engineering,
Quality, and Production to maintain material availability and flow. 6.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work
areas. 7. Perform all other duties as assigned. POSITION TYPE: This is a
Salary Exempt full-time position. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This
position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. TRAVEL: Travel
(less than 15% of work time). \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND
QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE: 1.
5-10 Years Comparable Purchasing Experience Is Required. 2. Previous
purchasing experience in a Government Contracting environment including
FAR Clauses. 3. Ability to read technical drawings, understand Bill of
Materials, and familiarity with various commodities and component
manufacturing methods. 4. Excellent written and oral communication
skills, organization skills, and proficiency in Microsoft applications
is required. Must be able to obtain BATFE (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco,
Firearms & Explosives) approval Due to the nature of the work performed
