Test Technician (Fans & Pumps)

Job Title: Test Technician - Fans and PumpsLocation: Irvine, CA 92618 Schedule: 5:00 AM - 1:30 PMPay: $25 - 28/hrDuration: 6 Months (possible extension or conversion!)MUST BE A US CITIZENJOB SUMMARYAccurately and efficiently test a variety of moderate to complex fan and pump assemblies to achieve customer quality and on-time delivery schedule.Test products that contain mechanical or electrical driven test systems, hydraulic systems, and multiple part families.Will be responsible for evaluation, repair, qualification of test stands, and occasional training and integration in support of manufacturing activity.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms moderate to complex test functions utilizing mechanical skills, hand and power tools, mechanical/electronic tools, test equipment, and test fixtures.Sets up moderate to complex test equipment on a variety of products to measure and record valve or system conformance to test specifications.Sets up test stands with appropriate plumbing for hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and nitrogen tests from required product ATP specifications.Be familiar and able to work with 120 to 480 Volt, 3 phase, 400Hz electrical test set ups.Verifies accuracy of test stand and setup prior to testing and makes necessary adjustments to attain specified test results.Conducts tests using common and/or computerized data acquisition equipment and interprets/records test results on data forms. Uses XY recorders, oscilloscopes, transducers, flowmeter, vibe machines, vibe tables and ESS chambers.Troubleshoots and rework malfunctions disclosed by test data.Build experimental devices from engineering sketches or specifications, testing and troubleshooting of such devices or systems, and development of design details.Observes all safety rules and maintains a foreign object damage (FOD) free work area.Make simple modifications to test fixtures or prototype parts with shop machinery.Ensures all equipment is calibrated in accordance with calibration schedule.QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED).5 years related experience and/or training.Requires over three years minimum exposure to manufacturing environment.Requires knowledge of engineering principles.Air conditioning experience desired.Machine shop knowledge a plus.Company DescriptionWe're not just a staffing company - we're a people company.
