CNC/CONVENTIONAL MACHINIST ( MILL & LATHE ) - 1ST & 2ND SHIFTS

Job Summary:With little or no assistance, the CNC Machinist will operate CNC machines and conventional machines to produce complex aerospace parts demonstrating advanced cross training flexibility. They will have experience with most, if not all automated CNC machines and their operational capabilities.Essential Functions:Fully operate multiple machines as needed, including CNC and conventional machinesPerform pre-operational inspectionsStudies blueprints, manuals, dispatch specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirementsPerform complex set ups without assistance on multiple machines; checking or changing chucking jaws, tools, rotating off sets, etcOperates sit down forklift to retrieve parts and load them onto racksUtilize cranes and hoists to load and unload parts from racks onto machinesOperate machines on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings and programmed controlsSelects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machinesCalculates and sets controls to regulates machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls as required Verifies conformance of finished workpieces to specificationsTrack time on each function or task by maintaining time records on BAMCNon-Essential:In accordance with Company policies, promote safety by working in a safe manner at all timesSweep and maintain clean area surrounding machineRemove any trash from work areaWrite up completed job ordersMaintain traveler package, generate traceable paperworkMaintain Quality recordsOperate the Gun Drill and other cutting tools to perform perforationsConfers with engineers, production personnel, programmers or others to resolve machining problemsPerform other duties as assigned by managementCompany DescriptionWe're not just a staffing company - we're a people company. Salary : $23 - $28
