URGENT HIRING - QA Inspector (2nd Shift)

Job Summary

The Inspector performs advanced inspection activities on die cast products, including first article, in-process, and final inspections. This role is responsible for evaluating product quality, interpreting engineering drawings, and assisting with problem-solving activities related to manufacturing and quality issues.

What You Will Do

·       Perform dimensional and visual inspections on complex die cast components.

·       Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, specifications, and customer requirements.

·       Conduct first article inspections and prepare associated documentation.

·       Utilize advanced measuring equipment including micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, optical comparators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) as applicable.

·       Verify process compliance to control plans, PFMEAs, and inspection procedures.

·       Investigate and document nonconforming material and quality concerns.

·       Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.

·       Support customer audits, internal audits, and process improvement initiatives.

·       Train and mentor Inspector I employees.

·       Recommend containment actions when quality issues are identified.

What You Will Bring

·       High school diploma or GED required.

·       Associate degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.

·       3–5 years of manufacturing quality inspection experience.

·       Experience in die casting, machining, or metal manufacturing environments preferred.

Preferred

·       Strong blueprint reading skills.

·       Working knowledge of GD&T.

·       Understanding of SPC and basic quality tools.

·       Ability to use advanced inspection equipment.

·       Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

·       Knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 requirements preferred.

·       Biling (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Physical Requirements

·       Frequent standing and walking.

·       Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

·       Ability to perform detailed visual inspections for extended periods.

·       Ability to work in warehouse and manufacturing environments with varying temperatures.
