What are the responsibilities and job description for the ASSEMBLER position at Amtec Contract?
Position Summary:Operates and maintains stations to assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components,or units according to specifications and follows established manufacturing procedures. Useshand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units.Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, productspecifications, and quality standards. Under close supervision, assembles small parts,capacitors, switches, and related components into cabinets; fabricates various sub-assemblies;and does other work as required.Responsibilities:• Works primarily with other assemblers and is responsible for consistently meetingquality and production standards.• Assembles capacitor racks.• Installs oil switches, copper fuse holders, insulation, mountings, porcelain, links, andlouver cover.• Drills and installs glastic fittings.• Build transformer brackets.• Verifies correct clearances and hole diameters given blueprints.• Operates impact wrenches, ratchets, and small hand tools.• Makes up small hardware parts.• Cleans and maintains the work area.• Other duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as necessary to complete logs or• records.• Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small-group situations.• Detail-oriented and consistent.• Works well as a productive member of a team.• Ability to operate a pallet jack and/or forklift as needed.• Ability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment.• Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing.Company DescriptionWe're not just a staffing company - we're a people company.
