Forklift Operator

Amsted Rail is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our team in Camp Hill, PA. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move raw materials and finished products throughout our manufacturing facility. The position supports production operations by ensuring materials are delivered efficiently, inventory is handled accurately, and work areas remain organized and safe.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain daily log and assigned checklist of assigned forklift.
• Perform routine driver’s check on fluid levels and general condition of forklift.
• Load/unload or stage materials as needed to assure production flow.
• Operate a forklift in a safe manner.
• Complete material requisitions as required.
• Accurately enter time and labor reporting daily.
• Work safely and maintain a clean work area.
• Perform additional duties as deemed necessary.

Qualifications: 
• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1 year experience in a manufacturing position.
• Must obtain forklift operator’s authorization (company training provided).
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing orders, parts and raw materials.
• Ability to follow clearly defined work instructions and work independently.
• Ability to sit for approximately 10 hours per day.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. approximately 3-5 times per hour.
• Ability to lift 85 lbs to change propane tank on forklift 1-2 times per day.
