Foundry Manufacturing Superintendent -- Metalcasting

Drive safe, reliable, and high-quality output in the melt shop and middle foundry while developing an engaged team. You’ll ensure people, equipment, and process all work in sync to meet production goals.

• Reports to: Production Manager
• Direct span: 10–18 employees (team leaders, maintenance mechanics/electricians, hourly production roles)
• Area ownership: Melt shop operations and supervision/direction of the middle foundry; oversight of equipment maintenance scheduling and direction

• Coordinate and supervise melt shop activities to hit shift production targets and meet objectives.
• Deploy and manage manpower resources in line with plan changes.
• Plan, prioritize, and direct equipment repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Recruit, train, and motivate a capable, cost-effective production team.
• Champion safety protocols and spotless housekeeping.
• Lead first-step resolution of employee complaints and grievances to maintain positive relations.
• Execute other tasks as needed to support operations.

• Office staff on customer shipping specs, shipping schedules, recordkeeping, and inventory.
• Quality Manager to ensure compliance with AAR and Griffin quality standards/specifications.
• Operations, Human Resources, and Safety Managers on discipline, attendance, and grievances.
• Equipment Manager to advance TPM.
• Materials Manager and storeroom for timely supply orders.
• Vendors regarding correct product usage.
• AAR inspectors and customers during on-site reviews.
• Manager, Quality Assurance/Supervisor, Non-Destructive Testing System for issue resolution.

• 3–5 years’ supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Hands-on exposure to Non Destructive Testing, tooling, QC (SPC), Safety, maintenance, and capital project management.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
