Lead AV Technician/Project Manager

Job Summary
We are an established AV co looking to expand our presence in NYC and the Hamptons. We have many jobs lined up for the coming year and looking for motivated AV Techs looking to expand their role and help grow within our company. We have positions available for NYC and For Long Island. If you are experienced in the field and live in central Long Island this may be a great fit for you! The role and possibilities are not limited and we are looking for techs to help carve out a niche within the business. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced AV Project Manager to oversee various audio-visual projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both technical and project management skills, ensuring that all projects are executed efficiently and meet client expectations. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to troubleshoot software and hardware issues, and a solid understanding of low voltage systems. Duties

• Manage all phases of AV projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their audio-visual needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Coordinate with field service teams to ensure timely installation and maintenance of AV systems.
• Troubleshoot software and computer hardware issues as they arise during project implementation.
• Utilize hand tools for installation and testing of AV equipment.
• Read and interpret schematics to assist in the setup of complex AV systems.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and low voltage regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders via telecommunication methods.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of software troubleshooting techniques and computer hardware components.
• Familiarity with low voltage systems and electrical installations (E & I).
• Experience using hand tools for installation tasks.
• Ability to read schematics and technical drawings related to AV systems.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and team members.
• Willingness to travel as needed for on-site project management.
