Job Description:Our client is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal with substantial experience in supporting class and collective actions as well as employment/wage and hour claims. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation support, case management, and legal research, with a passion for advocating for workers’ rights. Key Responsibilities:Case Management:Assist attorneys in the preparation and management of class and collective action lawsuits and employment/wage and hour claims.Prepare and organize case files, including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and court filings.Coordinate and communicate with clients, experts, and opposing counsel.Monitor case deadlines and ensure timely submission of documents and filings.Legal Research and Drafting:Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant statutes, regulations, and case law.Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, and discovery requests.Prepare summaries of depositions, interrogatories, and other discovery materials.Client and Witness Interaction:Conduct client interviews and gather pertinent information for case preparation.Assist with the preparation and management of witness interviews and depositions.Prepare clients and witnesses for court appearances and other legal proceedings.Court and Filing Procedures:File documents with courts and administrative agencies, ensuring compliance with procedural rules.Assist in the preparation of trial exhibits and witness lists.Support trial preparation and attend court hearings, as needed.Administrative Support:Maintain and update case management databases and electronic filing systems.Prepare and track billing and expense reports related to case work.Perform other administrative tasks as required by the attorneys.Qualifications:Education and Certification:Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field.Paralegal certification (e.g., from NALA, NFPA, or similar) preferred.Experience:Minimum of 3-5 years of paralegal experience, with specific expertise in class and collective actions and employment/wage and hour claims.Proven track record of supporting complex litigation and managing multiple cases simultaneously.
