Job Summary
We have immediate openings for Utility Operators to support operations at our quarry locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and configuring multiple equipment, ensuring it works at its full capacity, overseeing its maintenance, and performing timely quality checks.
Description
The Utility Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment such as skid steers, loaders, excavators, and backhoes to assist with loading and moving materials (e.g., sand, gravel, aggregate). Additionally, this role involves assisting in maintaining equipment by performing routine checks, cleaning, lubricating, and ensuring machinery is in good working condition. The Utility Operator must transport materials to various locations within the quarry, including stockpiles, processing areas, and loading zones. This position also requires performing general labor tasks as needed, including digging, lifting, loading, unloading, and clearing debris from work areas.
The successful candidate must monitor and ensure safe material handling, following proper procedures for loading, unloading, and transporting materials around the quarry. This role also assists with site preparation for construction projects by grading, leveling, and clearing the land for various operations. Furthermore, the Utility Operator must follow safety guidelines and work closely with other team members to ensure compliance with safety regulations, including MSHA standards.
