The Role:
The Banquet Server is responsible for setting up and serving food and beverages to guests at all banquet functions according to hotel standards. This includes performing preparatory tasks, reading the Banquet Event Order (BEO), and being familiar with the menu of the assigned function.
Responsibilities:
* Perform side work duties to ensure prompt and efficient service
* Serve guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner
* Respond to guest problems, complaints, and accidents
* Communicate with management as needed
* Maintain the banquet storeroom in a neat and orderly manner
* Clean-up banquet space after completion of the function
* Prepare room according to BEO and meal functions
* Follow money handling procedures when serving guests
* Know menu items for each function served and provide accurate descriptions
* Ensure overall guest satisfaction
Qualifications:
* High School diploma or equivalent preferred
* Experience in hotel or related field
* Ability to stand during entire shift
* Effective communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
