Job Description:
A high-profile culinary leadership position at the esteemed Amrit Ocean Resort & Residences. As a Sous Chef, you will oversee the entire culinary operation for banquet functions, weddings, conferences, and special events. Your key responsibility is to ensure exceptional food quality, presentation, and service standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Event Planning and Catering teams to design menus that meet clients' needs and expectations.
- Work closely with F&B managers to address any food-related issues promptly.
- Coordinate Loss Prevention efforts in kitchen areas, monitoring and reporting as necessary.
- Prepare required reports, including Wage Progress, payroll, revenue, employee Schedules, and quarterly action plans.
- Oversee daily operations of the kitchen and food production areas, ensuring timely preparation and service of hot and cold food items.
- Respond to guest complaints efficiently and maintain compliance with SOPs, requisition procedures, and local health department sanitation laws.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- At least 4 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field; or a culinary graduate with 2 years of experience.
- Knowledge of F&B preparation techniques, health department rules, liquor laws, and regulations.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in hospitality or a related field preferred.
