Job Summary:
The Logistics Assistant will support the logistics and shipping team in coordinating and executing daily transportation and order fulfillment activities. This role is responsible for assisting with order routing, appointment scheduling, preparing shipping documents such as Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing lists, and labels, as well as maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely communication with carriers, warehouses, and internal departments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with routing customer orders and coordinating shipment schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
- Plan and book appointments for pickups and deliveries with carriers, warehouses, and customers.
- Prepare and verify all shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing lists, shipping labels, and other required paperwork.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of shipments, documentation, and routing information.
- Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Track shipments and provide status updates to internal stakeholders or customers as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, shipping regulations, and customer requirements.
- Support the logistics team with data entry, filing, and administrative tasks as assigned.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics efficiency and accuracy.
- Perform other related duties or special projects as assigned by the Logistics Supervisor or Manager.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in logistics, business, or related field preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in logistics, shipping, or administrative support (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP (SAP) or TMS systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Bilingual Spanish (preferred).

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
