Job Title: Power BI Developer
Location: Chicago, Il-Hybrid
Key Responsibilities
• Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI
• Gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Design and optimize data models for performance and scalability
• Create and maintain ETL processes using tools like Microsoft SQL Server and other data sources
• Implement DAX calculations, measures, and KPIs
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing reports and dashboards
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• 3 years of experience in Power BI development
• Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and data modeling
• Experience with SQL and relational databases
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Skills
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure
• Knowledge of other BI tools (e.g., Tableau)
• Experience in retail or education domain (preferred for Follett projects)
