Amplify Children's Academy is a school providing care and education for infants through school-aged children. We are committed to enhancing childhood curiosity, creativity, and character.

We are looking for an early childhood educator in Amplify's transitional kindergarten (TK) and kindergarten classroom. It is intended to maintain the Reggio Emilia philosophy while meeting or exceeding all of the educational standards provided by the West Virginia Board of Education for each grade level.

The duties of the Grove Teacher are as follows:

• Embody Amplify’s core values of love, knowledge, joy, and grit.
• Act as an advocate and ambassador for Amplify Children’s Academy as well as the Grove class in communication with parents and prospective parents. This includes official communication as an Amplifier as well as in conversations and posts on social media sites and public forums.
• Ensure that child care routines are carried out in a manner that is prompt, hygienic, and consistent with the good child development principles.
• Familiarize oneself with each child’s strengths, goals, personality, and individual needs.
• Participate in assessing each child’s progress and in setting goals for each child. This includes assisting in creating and implementing individualized plans and materials for children based on the results of their assessments and needs.
• Ensure the safety of children through constant supervision, effective arrangement of space, and proper maintenance of equipment.
• Ensuring that parents receive adequate information about their child's experiences at the center through daily contacts and postings in LifeCubby.
• Collaborating in the planning, preparation of materials, and executing of developmentally appropriate, Reggio-inspired lesson plans.
• Operating the classroom in compliance with all West Virginia Board of Education standards and Amplify’s Employee Handbook.
• Maintain regular communication with parents and participate in parent teacher conferences in September, January, and May.
• Collaborate with the other Grove teacher, reflecting on daily goals, needs, and improvements for the Grove classroom and its students.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
