Position Summary:
The Apprentice in Speech-Language (ASL) assists the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in client screenings, assessments, and evaluations. ASLs implement therapy treatment plans under supervision, support collaborative care, and contribute to maintaining a safe and effective therapy environment. This role also includes participation in educational, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
Apprentice in Speech-Language (ASL) Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a graduate program from an accredited Communication Disorders program.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Apprentice in Speech-Language with the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department.
Apprentice in Speech-Language Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement evidence-based practices aligned with program goals as directed by the supervising SLP.
- Attend IFSP, IEP, and team conferences as assigned
- Participate in professional development and company committees
- Represent ATI in community outreach events and professional meetings.
- Adapt to various service delivery settings including homes, clinics, and community environments.
- Travel within the assigned county of service to complete family visits.
