Amphenol Custom Cable, based in Tampa, FL is seeking a Director of Sales and Business Development, experienced in fiber options and broadband. In this role, you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities, shaping go-to-market strategies, and leading a sales team focused on expanding our fiber internet footprint across residential, commercial, and enterprise markets.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans that accelerate growth in key markets.
- Lead the full sales cycle - from prospecting to closing and contract negotiation.
- Identify new market opportunities, including new housing developments and underserved business areas.
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Marketing to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Track performance metrics, manage the pipeline, and report on KPIs and forecasts.
- Lead, coach, and inspire a team of 6 - 8 Inside and Outside Sales professionals.
What You Bring
- 7 years of experience in sales or business development within the fiber optics, telecommunications, or broadband industries.
- Strong understanding of FTTH technology, deployment models, and competitive landscape.
- Proven success building and closing high-value deals in residential and business broadband markets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Data-driven approach with strong business acumen.
- Travel as needed.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Telecommunications, Engineering, or related field (MBA a plus).
