- Location: Amphenol Spectra-Strip - Hamden, CT
Responsibilities
The Documentation Manager will oversee and maintain the integrity of product and process definitions in a high-speed wire development environment. This role ensures that technical documentation is systematically controlled to support global product and process launch, scale, and sustaining initiatives.
Data & Documentation
- Manage configuration databases and PLM systems (e.g., Windchill).
- Work with functional technical leaders to develop documentation management plans aligned with ISO 9001, company, and industry standards.
- Owns the ECN/PCN execution pipeline, maintaining records, and coordinating implementation globally
- Ensure traceability and technical accuracy for changes of technical documentation across the product lifecycle, from raw material to finished product.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and evidence of configuration control.
- Maintain a formal system including hard copies and electronic copies for customer supplied documents.
- Control issue and maintenance of NDA documentation, trademarks, patents,
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements (e.g., UL, RoHS, REACH).
- Bachelors or higher degree in Engineering related field and/or minimum 10 years experience in ISO 9001 registered Quality Management System directly involved in management and auditing.
- 5 years of experience in technical documentation management, preferably in wire & cable or extrusion manufacturing.
- Experience with configuration management tools and ERP/PLM systems, Windchill preferred.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with high-speed extrusion processes, preferred
- Strong background in Managing Quality Management Systems.
