Job Summary

Ability to perform various quality control tests on products to verify that all products meet or exceed minimum UL Requirements. Ability to perform inspection on cutting lines, molding/expanding, and shipping departments to ensure quality products are produced and shipped out to the customer. Standard work week 40 hours a week with occasional overtime, no travel required.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
  • Use dimensional measuring devices to ensure product meets job order specifications, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
  • Enter all test results into the company database and manage documents.
  • Communicate quality issues with engineering, shipping and scheduling daily.
  • Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Participate in U.L. audits on a quarterly basis.
  • Act as plant liaison to the Tech Center in regard to all QC functions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis regarding quality issues, identify and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Assist external and internal quality audits.
  • Assist Production teams with process changes, quality plan documentation, and test requirement updates.
  • Assist customer service and sales teams to respond to customer questions in relation to product capability and limitations.
  • Help to drive continuous quality improvement and scrap reduction across the site.
  • Perform quality assurance tests and visual inspections of raw materials, intermediary products, and finished goods per work instructions.



Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Math Skills proficiency up to Algebra and Trigonometry.
  • Must demonstrate safe working practices and possess great attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow CWT's policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Good communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Basic computer, mathematics, and problem-solving skills; ability to use a calculator.
  • Ability to use measuring devices (gauges, tapes, rulers).
  • Team player that is able to follow instructions from both management and peers.
  • Ability to learn and operate new equipment.



Education and Experience:
  • Required:
    • Education - High School diploma or GED required.
    • Six (6) months to one (1) year related experience required.



Working Conditions:
  • This position conducts its work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to some odors.

  • Forklift/Clamp Truck.

- This role is performed onsite at our facility located at 6198 W Airport Blvd, Greenfield, IN 46140.

As a Quality Control Technician, you will be entitled to the following:
  • An Hourly Rate between $21.19 to $31.78.

    • Vacation Days: The total number of days granted depends on your years of professional experience. The first year of employment is prorated based on the month of hire.
