We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant to support the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial records. This position is based on-site in Endicott, NY and is not eligible for remote work. This role is responsible for key accounting functions including month-end close activities, invoices, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. The General Ledger Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant financial statements, while also supporting audits and contributing to ongoing process improvements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Process customer invoicing accurately and in a timely manner.
- Review and process supplier receipts and invoices.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger account reconciliations.
- Review and approve banking transactions.
- Crosstrain on functions performed by other finance team members to provide backup support as needed.
- Assist with annual audits and respond to auditor requests.
- Proactively investigate and resolve discrepancies, including incomplete or inconsistent data and missing source documentation.
- Assist with the preparation and analysis of schedules for monthly Operations Reports, annual Tax Packages, and semi-annual Hard Close activities.
- Support special reporting and analysis requests from Corporate.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, and/or equivalent education.
- Solid understanding of general accounting principles and procedures.
- Knowledge of international accounting practices is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP is preferred.
- Ability to read and speak Mandarin is a plus but not required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and functions.
- High attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure and manage frequent interruptions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
