Come work with a woman and therapist run company! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Special Education Paraeducator in the Maplewood, MN area for the 2025-2026 school year.
Responsibilities:
- Position: Special Education Paraeducator
- Full-time positions (30 hours/week)
- Elementary Classroom
- Support students on the Autism Spectrum
- Support with personal cares (toileting, feeding) and severe needs
- Assist in implementing student Individualized Educational Plan (IEP), 504 Plans, Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), and sensory plans
- Work under the direction of a licensed teacher
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree or equivalent, or 2 years post secondary and at least 60 completed credits OR
- Paraprofessional Credential through Minnesota Department of Education (such as passing score on ParaPro or ParaEducator Assessments or credentialed on the PELSB rubric)
- Crisis Prevention (CPI) Trained (or willing to complete training)
- Previous experience working in the school setting preferred
