American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter – Full Time | Lakewood, WA | 2025–2026 School Year Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time ASL Interpreter for the 2025–2026 school year in Lakewood, Washington. This is an in-person position working with a great and supportive school district. Job Highlights:
- Location: Lakewood, WA
- Position: ASL Interpreter – 1:1 position with 12th grade student
- Schedule: Full Time, Monday through Friday (late start Wednesdays)
- School Year: 2025-2026
- In-person only
Qualifications:
- EIPA score of 4.0 or higher and passing the written performance test
- EIPA scores of 3.5–3.9 may also be considered
- Fingerprinting required prior to start
- School-based experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct 1:1 interpretation for a student throughout the school day
- Facilitate communication between the student, peers, and staff
- Support access to curriculum and social interactions in the classroom
- Collaborate with the student’s educational team
