ASL Sign Language Interpreter

Come work with a local, woman, and therapist founded and operated company! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Sign Language Interpreter to provide services in the school setting for the rest of the 2024-2025 school year! We are looking for to hire for a PRN position.

Responsibilities and Duties

• The Sign Language Interpreter transliterates and interprets, through use of sign language, materials for the hearing disabled student. Facilitates communication between users and non-users of sign language.
• Position begins ASAP thru the end of the school year with high possibility to extend to next school year
• PRN position
• License/Additional Requirements: EIPA Score of 4.0 and passing the written performance test OR Passing the NIC certification and passing the written performance test. EIPA of 3.5-4.0 may also be considered.
• Onsite only

Qualifications and Skills

• Thorough knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and Signing Exact English
• Must have State Authorization as an Educational Interpreter
• 4.0 EIPA or higher and/or National Sign Language Certification required
• Position begins ASAP-June 2025 (and possibility to extend for 25-26 SY)
• Requires fingerprinting before starting

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
