Job Title: School-Based Sign Language Interpreter

Location: Tumwater, WA

Employment Type: Part-time, Monday-Thursday, 12 pm - 4 pm, 16 hours/week

School Year:2024-2025, start ASAP

Caseload: Preschool caseload, details discussed in an interview

Must have 4.0 EIPA and WA ESA certificate

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

What You'll Do

• Provide sign language interpretation services for students in a school setting
• Assist in classroom instruction and activities by interpreting spoken language into sign language
• Support students in understanding and participating in classroom discussions and activities
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure effective communication
• Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with hearing impairments
