Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to manage, maintain, and enhance a GitLab CI/CD-based software delivery platform. This role is responsible for designing scalable CI/CD pipelines, automating AWS infrastructure using Terraform, managing multiple deployment environments, and driving DevOps best practices to improve software quality, deployment reliability, and developer productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines hosted on code.siemens.com.
- Design and implement scalable, reusable, and secure CI/CD pipeline templates.
- Develop, maintain, and automate AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Manage development, testing, staging, and production environments.
- Automate application build, testing, release, and deployment processes.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize CI/CD pipeline performance, reliability, and security.
- Implement DevOps best practices to streamline software delivery and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with software architects, developers, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams.
- Support release management and continuous deployment initiatives.
- Identify and implement process improvements for infrastructure automation and deployment workflows.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD pipeline development and administration.
- Experience supporting repositories and pipelines on code.siemens.com.
- Strong expertise with Terraform and AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and best practices.
- Experience managing multiple deployment environments (development, test, staging, and production).
- Knowledge of DevOps methodologies, automation, monitoring, and release management.
- Experience with Python and/or Bash scripting.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with SW360 software component governance.
- Knowledge of Python package management and Poetry.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices.
- Experience with software artifact repositories and dependency management tools.
