AmoyDx (North America) is looking for a Clinical Technologist Trainee to join our Cytogenetics/ FISH team. AmoyDx is a small, specialized lab that offers high complexity testing for hematology and oncology. We provide detailed, hands-on training, as well as support and opportunities for growth. Day-shift options for Mondays to Fridays or four ten-hour days. Potential for one Saturday a month rotation.
Job Summary:
Perform laboratory functions for clinical testing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Learn and perform high complexity cytogenetic and FISH wet lab work
- Learn karyotypic and FISH analysis and reporting
- Perform quality control and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Adhere to standards of external regulatory bodies, including NYS and CAP
Requirements:
- Graduation with an Bachelor’s Degree in the major of biology, chemistry, the physical sciences, or mathematics
- Able to apply for a Clinical Laboratory Technologist License Restricted to Cytogenetics issued by the NYS Department of Education at the end of the 1 year training period (Clinical Laboratory Technologist Restricted License Form 4)
- College laboratory and / or research experience preferred but not required
