Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join the Bone Marrow Laboratory team. This role is responsible for performing high-quality preparation of bone marrow smears, staining procedures, and clinical laboratory testing using both automated and manual methodologies. Key responsibilities include performing accurate and timely differentials for bone marrow, peripheral blood, CSF, and body fluids, assisting radiologists with procedures, and participating in on-call coverage.The ideal candidate will demonstrate interest in blood and bone marrow morphology. Prior experience is preferred but not required.
Starting hourly rate is $40.59.
Qualifications:
Required Education and ExperienceLicense Requirement
1. Possession of a full license to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York; or
2. Eligibility for full licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or a related health care discipline.
NOTE:
1. As a condition of continued employment, full license eligible incumbents must obtain and maintain the full Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure in the State of New York within six (6) months of their appointment to this title.
2. Possession of the Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure supersedes educational requirements listed above, as stated in section 58-1.5 (b) of the NYS Codes, Rules and Regulations.
3. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
