Amova Health is hiring a compassionate, dependable Part-Time Companion Caregiver for an elderly woman in Naperville, IL.
Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM (8 hours per week)
Pay: $17 to $20 per hour
About the Client
Our client is an elderly woman living with memory issues. She is self-sufficient: she eats, showers, and walks around on her own. She does not need bathing, showering, or hands-on personal care. What she needs is a warm, patient, reliable companion who can keep her safe, engaged, and on track during the afternoon.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly companionship and conversation
- Offer gentle reminders and redirection related to memory issues
- Supervise for safety and help prevent wandering or confusion
- Prepare light snacks or simple meals as needed
- Light housekeeping in areas she uses (tidying, dishes)
- Encourage engaging activities such as walks, puzzles, music, or games
- Report any changes in mood, behavior, or condition to the Amova Health office
What We're Looking For
- Prior caregiving or companion experience, ideally with seniors or memory care (dementia/Alzheimer's)
- Patience, kindness, and strong communication skills
- Reliable and punctual; must commit to the Tuesday/Thursday 2:00-6:00 PM schedule
- Urdu-speaking is a strong plus
- Reliable transportation
- Must pass a background check
