Exciting Interim Director of Respiratory Opportunity in Littleton, Colorado!

The Position

• An Interim Director of Respiratory is needed to provide operational leadership and stabilize respiratory care services during a period of organizational transition and restructuring.
• Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, this leader will oversee respiratory therapy operations across multiple campuses and provide leadership for approximately 70 FTEs.
• Key responsibilities include supporting the recruitment and onboarding of permanent respiratory leadership, assisting with the transition of the respiratory float pool into a nursing-led float pool structure, helping align respiratory educators with site-based affiliations, and fostering stability in recruiting, staffing, and daily operations during a period of organizational transition.
• The ideal candidate will have extensive respiratory leadership experience in acute care settings, a strong background in workforce stabilization, change management, and employee engagement improvement. Must be highly organized, patient-focused, and able to adapt quickly to changing needs. Excellent communication skills will be critical.
• Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• Progressive respiratory leadership experience, including director-level oversight in an acute care hospital environment. Experience leading through organizational change, staffing challenges, and departmental restructuring is preferred.

Compensation Details

• Compensation Range: $160,000 to $170,000 annually.
• The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation. Additionally, some candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, depending on the specific role, including but not limited to health insurance coverage and retirement benefits.
• The listed base compensation range represents a good faith estimate of potential earnings at the time of this job posting and may be subject to future adjustments.
