Interim Director of Nursing Oncology Services Needed in Memphis, TN!

The Position

• An Interim Director of Nursing Oncology Services is needed to lead operations for a large oncology nursing department within an academic hospital.
• Reporting to the Chief Nursing Executive, this leader will oversee a team of 74 FTEs.
• Key responsibilities include implementing strategies to improve patient experience and safety, enhancing quality and safety scores, fostering a cohesive culture, and guiding the team through a transition to a team nursing model.
• The ideal candidate will be a strong and experienced nursing leader with high energy and a visible, proactive leadership style. Oncology experience is preferred but not required. Must be confident navigating strong personalities and able to set a positive tone for a unit in transition. Must be highly organized, patient-focused, and able to adapt quickly to changing needs. Excellent communication skills will be critical.
• Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance.
  
  
  

Requirements

• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• Active RN license in Tennessee or a compact state license required.
• Proven leadership experience in acute care nursing; oncology nursing experience strongly preferred.

Compensation Details

• Compensation Range: $160,000 to $170,000 annually.
• The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation. Additionally, some candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, depending on the specific role, including but not limited to health insurance coverage and retirement benefits.
• The listed base compensation range represents a good faith estimate of potential earnings at the time of this job posting and may be subject to future adjustments.
