Karmanos supports one of the nation’s most extensive clinical trials programs, including a robust Phase I program housed within the Eisenberg Center for Translational Therapeutics, the only program of its kind in Michigan. Through 17 network sites, Karmanos serves patients across 47 counties in Michigan and northern Ohio, reaching urban, suburban, and rural communities.
McLaren Health Care is a $6 billion, fully integrated delivery system spanning 15 hospitals across Michigan and Ohio. The system includes ambulatory surgery and imaging centers, an employed primary and specialty care physician network, commercial and Medicaid HMOs covering approximately 640,000 lives in Michigan and Indiana, as well as home health, infusion, hospice, pharmacy services, a clinical laboratory network, and a wholly owned medical malpractice insurance company.
The Region
Detroit is enjoying an amazing renaissance, marked by urban revitalization and significant infrastructure investment. Michigan offers diverse geography and abundant opportunities for an active lifestyle; its two peninsulas, bordered by four Great Lakes, provide more freshwater shoreline than any other state in the nation.
