Computed Tomography Technologist - (CT Tech)

GE , Siemens Scanners This CT Technologist position is based in Providence, Rhode Island, a historic and vibrant New England city known for its thriving arts scene, nationally recognized culinary offerings, and beautifully preserved neighborhoods. Providence offers the charm of a smaller city with easy access to world-class culture and recreation: waterfront parks and riverwalks, renowned theaters and galleries, and a dynamic downtown with festivals and events throughout the year. Its location places you within a short drive of scenic Rhode Island beaches, coastal towns, and the broader New England region, as well as convenient access to Boston and New York by train. You will be working in a respected, high-acuity hospital with a strong reputation in the community and within the region for its patient-centered care and collaborative culture. The imaging department is known for its quality standards, focus on safety, and use of advanced technology. You will be part of a team that values ongoing education, quality improvement, and interprofessional collaboration with radiologists, nurses, and referring providers. In this role, you will perform a full range of CT examinations using GE and Siemens scanners. Typical studies include head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, and extremity imaging, as well as contrast-enhanced and angiographic procedures. You will be responsible for patient assessment and preparation, IV access and contrast administration as allowed by policy, accurate positioning, protocol selection, and image acquisition according to established protocols and radiation safety guidelines. A typical day includes verifying physician orders, reviewing patient histories and relevant labs, explaining procedures and addressing questions, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the exam. You will operate CT equipment, monitor image quality in real time, and communicate promptly with radiologists regarding critical findings or protocol clarifications. Accurate documentation in the EMR, timely completion of exams, and effective communication with the broader care team are key components of the role.
