Cardiovascular Non-Invasive Technologist - Echo Sonographer - (Cardiac - Echo - Sonography - Sono)

StartDate: 8/17/2026 Available Shifts: 8 D Pay Rate: $2392.00 - $2465.00

This Cardiac Sonographer position is based in South Kingstown, Rhode Island, a welcoming coastal community known for its beautiful beaches, scenic shoreline, and classic New England charm. The area offers easy access to outdoor activities such as swimming, sailing, kayaking, and hiking, as well as nearby parks and nature preserves. You can enjoy historic villages, local farms, and a lively restaurant scene, all while remaining within driving distance of Providence, Newport, and other Rhode Island destinations. South Kingstown provides a comfortable balance of small-town feel and modern amenities, with quality schools, community events, and year-round recreation that make it an appealing place to live and work. Within this setting, you will join a growing cardiac imaging team that supports comprehensive cardiology services for patients in South County and the surrounding region. The practice environment is designed to be collaborative and patient-centered, with close coordination between cardiologists, cardiac sonographers, nurses, and other heart and vascular professionals. You will work with contemporary echocardiography equipment and integrated digital systems that support efficient workflows, high-resolution imaging, and seamless communication of results. A typical day in this role includes performing adult transthoracic echocardiograms for a mix of outpatient and referred patients, as well as studies for inpatients when needed. Examinations range from routine evaluations of cardiac function to more complex assessments for cardiomyopathies, valvular heart disease, ischemic heart disease, and pre- and post-intervention follow-up. You will be responsible for acquiring diagnostic-quality images, making appropriate measurements, and ensuring complete and accurate documentation within the EMR and imaging systems. You will also assist with urgent or time-sensitive studies, promptly identifying and communicating critical findings to the cardiology team. Patient interaction is a central part of this position. You will explain procedures, address questions, and help put patients at ease while maintaining professionalism and compassion. The environment supports reasonable patient volumes and time allotments so that you can focus on both image quality and patient experience. You will follow established protocols for infection prevention, equipment care, and exam room preparation, and you will contribute to quality initiatives aimed at maintaining high standards across the cardiac imaging service. Work schedules are structured to support both patient access and staff balance, typically centered on daytime hours with the potential for some extended or weekend coverage, depending on service needs. The department places emphasis on teamwork, reliability, and shared responsibility, with clear expectations and supportive leadership. As part of a broader cardiovascular program connected to a major health system, you will have opportunities to learn new techniques, collaborate on challenging cases, and participate in educational activities that can help you grow professionally and expand your expertise in cardiac sonography. This role is well suited for a cardiac sonographer who enjoys meaningful patient care, values strong clinical collaboration, and appreciates the lifestyle benefits of working in a coastal New England community with access to culture, recreation, and urban amenities nearby. If you would like your job descriptions to be written with a different tone, level of detail, or style, you can ask at any time and I will adjust your writing preferences for future descriptions.
