Job Description & Requirements
Certified Radiology Technologist - (RAD Tech)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 D Pay Rate: $2915.00 - $3004.00
Join a dynamic outpatient imaging team in the greater Orlando area, where you can combine a rewarding clinical role with an outstanding Central Florida lifestyle. This position is ideal for Radiologic Technologists with Dexa experience and CT Technologists who enjoy working in a patient-focused, fast-paced outpatient environment with supportive colleagues and modern technology. In this role, you will perform high-quality imaging studies for an outpatient population, including scheduled diagnostic x-ray, Dexa bone density exams, and CT exams depending on your primary modality. You will collaborate closely with radiologists, referring providers, and front office staff to ensure efficient patient flow, timely exam completion, and exceptional service. A typical day includes reviewing orders and protocols, greeting and preparing patients, positioning and imaging, confirming image quality, and documenting exams in the EMR/RIS and PACS systems. The outpatient setting offers a predictable schedule with an emphasis on scheduled appointments, minimal emergent add-ons, and strong patient rapport. As a Rad Tech with Dexa experience, you will perform general radiographic exams and bone density studies, following established protocols, accurately positioning patients, and educating them about each procedure. You will ensure radiation safety, monitor image quality, and support radiologists with clear and complete imaging. As a CT Technologist, you will conduct a variety of CT exams, including routine, contrast-enhanced, and specialty protocols based on provider orders. You will be responsible for safe contrast administration per facility policy, monitoring patients during and after exams, and working closely with radiologists to optimize protocols and image quality. The outpatient imaging center features digital imaging technology, a well-integrated RIS/PACS environment, and workflows designed to support technologists in delivering efficient, high-quality care. You will be part of a collaborative team that values professionalism, clear communication, and mutual support. New team members benefit from a structured orientation, access to experienced colleagues for mentorship, and opportunities to participate in quality improvement, protocol refinement, and additional modality cross-training as appropriate. Patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction are central to the center’s culture, and technologists play a key role in building trust and confidence with every patient visit. The greater Orlando area is a premier destination to live and work, offering far more than world-famous theme parks. Residents enjoy year-round sunshine, countless parks and lakes, outdoor recreation such as boating, kayaking, golf, and running and biking trails. The region features a thriving dining scene, from local eateries to fine dining, as well as vibrant arts, culture, and sports. Families benefit from numerous school options, community programs, and family-friendly attractions. For those who love weekend exploration, you are within easy reach of beautiful Atlantic Coast and Gulf Coast beaches, natural springs, and state parks. Orlando’s growing healthcare and technology communities create a professional environment where imaging professionals can build long-term, meaningful careers. Shifts are typically daytime outpatient hours with potential for some extended or early/late shifts based on patient volume and center hours. Patient volumes are steady but manageable, with a focus on efficient scheduling and adequate support staff to help with registration and coordination, allowing technologists to concentrate on clinical quality and patient care. You will work with an adult and geriatric patient population, along with some older adolescents, and you will be expected to maintain a professional, calm, and reassuring presence for patients and families. This role is an excellent fit for technologists who enjoy autonomy in their practice while still working within a close-knit team. It offers the chance to deepen skills in Dexa and CT, gain experience in an outpatient imaging model, and contribute directly to timely diagnoses and patient outcomes. If you are a dedicated Rad Tech with Dexa experience or a CT Technologist seeking a stable outpatient role in the greater Orlando area, this opportunity allows you to grow professionally while enjoying all the benefits of living in one of Florida’s most dynamic and enjoyable regions.
