AMKO is seeking a highly motivated CNC Lathe Machinist to join its continually growing workforce. AMKO is AS9100 certified, ITAR registered, and specializes in the precise CNC turning of aerospace components for both commercial and defense applications. AMKO utilizes the latest CNC technology in its brand new, state-of-the-art facility to support its Tier 1 customers and major OEM's such as Pratt & Whitney, General Electric, and Rolls-Royce. Responsibilites:
- Set-up and operate 2-axis horizontal lathes
- Maintain precise records using in-process inspection reports
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Acquire of knowledge of high-temperature aerospace alloys and basic CNC machining principles
- Read and comprehend blueprints and manufacturing operation sheets
- Calibrate and properly use precision measuring equipment such as calipers, verniers, depth micrometers, swing gages, and micrometers
- Assist with first piece inspections
- Demonstrate a desire to continuously improve on-going processes and strive for 100% on-time delivery with a zero scrap allowance
- Understand and abide by AMKO's quality and safety standards

Although there is no work experience or formal education required, basic math skills and a desire to learn are essential. AMKO is currently only hiring day-shift positions and in-person applications are welcome Monday through Thursday 7am-3pm, Friday 7am-1pm.
