What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista position at AMIE Bakery?
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and smoothies
- Take customer orders and provide exceptional customer service
- Operate cash register and take orders/hand cash transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area
- Follow health and safety guidelines for food handling and preparation
- Ensure orders are accurately and efficiently pulled together for sandwiches, pastries, and drinks
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations
- Ability to describe menu items to customers and suggest products that might appeal to them
- Knowledgeable of all bakery products and able to answer customer questions
- Team player and shop ambassador with customers
- Bag/ box pastries neatly ensuring the quality of bakery products
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not required
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and positive attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions
- Knowledge of proper food handling procedures is a plus

WAGES
NOTE: pay is tipped minimum wage at 12.00/hour, guaranteed 15.00/hour; with tips pay range is usually between 18-28 /hour.
