Radiology Technician
Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Radiology Technician to join our Women’s Diagnostic Imaging team. Under the administrative direction of the Radiology Manager and the clinical direction of the Radiologist/Team Leader, the Radiology Technician independently performs imaging examinations within the assigned section.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, attention to detail, patient-centered care, and the ability to work effectively with radiologists, departmental staff, and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Independently perform high-quality radiology examinations safely and efficiently.
- Competently operate imaging equipment within the assigned section, including X-Ray, Mammography, and Bone Density equipment.
- Review examination requisitions to determine appropriate room setup, radiation requirements, and required views based on patient anatomy.
- Perform examinations according to established protocols.
- Evaluate diagnostic images to ensure high-quality studies and repeat unsuitable images when necessary.
- Perform quality-control procedures on imaging and ancillary equipment at designated intervals.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Federal and Joint Commission standards.
- Train employees and students in daily radiology procedures and departmental practices.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with other divisions within the Radiology Department.
- Establish effective communication with other departments through meetings and ongoing discussions.
- Work proactively with other departments to facilitate patient access and exam scheduling.
- Demonstrate competency in RIS, CIS, PACS, and other computer systems used within the imaging section.
- Participate in continuing education activities as required.
- Serve as a positive role model and contribute to a professional and collaborative work environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Radiology Technician preferred.
- Experience with X-Ray, Mammography, and Bone Density imaging.
- Strong knowledge of radiologic procedures, patient positioning, radiation safety, and image quality.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Proficiency with RIS, CIS, PACS, and related radiology systems.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality patient care.
Pay: $66.00 - $78.62 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
