Position Summary: The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for planning, implementing, and administering all human resources activities to support our manufacturing operations. This critical role ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, drives talent acquisition, enhances employee engagement, and fosters a safe and inclusive workplace culture.
Specific Duties:
- Develops and implements, with the approval of the VP of Operations and in collaboration with other assigned region top managers, the kind and type of HR administration organization needed to implement regional goals and accomplish the regional objectives with overall corporate objectives within overall corporate policies.
- Assists the plants and facilities in the interpretation of human resources policies, plans, programs and procedures.
- Investigates, analyses and makes recommendations regarding the organization's compensation, benefits, AAP/EEO, employment, recruiting, training, succession planning, promotion and employee relations patterns trends.
- Performs such individual assignments as the supervisors may direct; establishes and maintains the effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
- Performs those administrative activities necessary for the effective management of the department, including provision for the selection and development of employees, pay administration, budget administration, employee safety, employee counseling and motivation, organization goals and objective, and planning, organizing, integrating, and measuring the work performed within the department and ensures adequate and continuous control is exercised over the activities affecting quality.
- Actively participates is business and strategic planning of assigned region to represent areas of accountability.
- Must carry out duties per IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 requirements.
Required Training, Knowledge and Experience:
- Broad technical knowledge of various administrative practices and the laws, regulations, and generally accepted principles regarding execution of the Company's business.
- Possesses excellent human relations and judgment skills.
- General business management and communication/skills typically gained through the completion of a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Essential Functions:
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Performs those administrative activities necessary for the effective management of the department.
- Develops and implements, with the approval of the VP of Operations and in collaboration with other assigned region top managers, the kind and type of HR administration organization needed to implement regional goals and accomplish the regional objectives with overall corporate objectives within overall corporate policies.
- Assists the plants and facilities in the interpretation of human resources policies, plans, programs and procedures.
- Investigates, analyses and makes recommendations regarding the organization's compensation, benefits, AAP/EE, employment, recruiting, training, succession planning, promotion and employee relations patterns and trends.
- Make studies and recommendations on the organization's general administration policies and practices and employee relations policies.
- Ensures the maintenance of database regarding competitive administration costs, practices and trends and make recommendations.
Critical Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Occasionally lifts and carries up to 15 pounds.
- Works at a PC for hours at a time.
- Normally works in an office setting, but occasionally works within automotive components manufacturing setting and then is exposed to heat, cold, wet, and fumes/chemicals.
- Travels to plant and customer sites.
