Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, hardworking Line Cook to join our kitchen team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in food quality, and is comfortable handling closing kitchen responsibilities. Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Cooking
- Prepare and cook menu items to recipe and presentation standards
- Maintain consistency, portion control, and food quality during service
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Assist with prep work including sauces, proteins, and sides
- Ensure ticket times are met during peak periods
Closing Duties
- Properly clean and sanitize all stations, equipment, and kitchen surfaces
- Break down and store food items according to food safety standards
- Label, date, and rotate products (FIFO)
- Filter fryers, clean grills, and shut down kitchen equipment
- Take out trash, sweep, and mop kitchen areas
- Secure food storage and ensure the kitchen is ready for the next shift
Food Safety & Teamwork
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
- Assist teammates as needed during busy service
Qualifications
- Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
