Assistant Manager - Restaurant

Duties

• Supervise daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, service flow, and cleanliness standards
• Lead and motivate staff through effective training, coaching, and development initiatives
• Manage shift schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours for optimal customer experience
• Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste
• Handle cash transactions accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems while maintaining strict cash handling procedures
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of food handling and sanitation
• Support customer service excellence by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
• Assist in managing budgets, controlling costs, and maximizing profitability through efficient resource allocation

Requirements

• Proven experience in food service management or restaurant supervision with a strong background in the food industry
• Hands-on knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and sales tracking
• Demonstrated leadership skills in managing teams within quick service & fast food or casual dining environments
• Experience with inventory control, food safety standards, and budgeting processes
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interview, train, and develop staff effectively
• Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting is highly preferred
• Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
