The Amherst-Pelham Regional School District is currently seeking highly qualified applicants for the position of English Language Learner (ELL) Teacher at the Amherst Regional Middle School. This is a half- time, school year position. Bilingual/ bi-cultural applicants are encouraged to apply.

- Experience designing and delivering high quality, explicit English Language Development instruction to support the rapid acquisition of English Proficiency and support access to grade level content.
- Effective use of culturally responsive teaching practices to support students socially, emotionally and academically.
- Experience using a variety of assessment methods to make data informed instructional decisions that accelerate student growth.
- Highly effective oral and written communication skills, and ability to work with a diverse population of students within a multicultural school / community.
- Strong positive, interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with students, colleagues and supervisors.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- All applicants must hold a valid Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education educator license as an ELL teacher at the appropriate secondary level or be eligible for a one year waiver.
