POSITION We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Education Specialist to provide specialized instruction and support to students with special needs, ensuring they receive a high-quality education that meets their individual needs. This role will require a deep understanding of special education principles, effective teaching methodologies, and a commitment to student success. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality education to our students, fostering a positive learning environment, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve our school’s goals. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with short deadlines, and solve problems effectively. Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. Strong work ethic and go-getter attitude. Ability to interpret technical terms, write clear and concise internal and external communications, and communicate information clearly. Knowledge of public education and charter school movement, preferred. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution. California teaching credential or ability and willingness to obtain a California teaching permit/credential if not already credentialed. 1 years of experience working at school sites or experience working with children/youth, preferred. Strong classroom management skills and ability to build rapport with students. Demonstrated mastery of special education principles. Ability to follow established routines and procedures. Employment eligibility that includes fingerprinting, tuberculosis, and/or other employment clearances. Previous experience in charter schools, preferred. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard. Bending at the waist, kneeling, and/or crouching to file materials. Ability to access and navigate various facilities within the organization. Occasional lifting of objects up to twenty pounds.
