The ideal candidate will:
- actively support veterinarians and other staff in daily patient and client care.
- be an active listener, paying close attention to details.
- Prep and monitor patients for surgery, including proficient in IV catheter placement.
- Phlebotomy
- ability to calculate and administer injections
- observe the behavior and conditions of animals.
- actively demonstrate dependability and importance of work to clients, supervisor, and other employees.
- participate in cross-training and willing to work in all areas of the hospital.
- easily adapt to situations that arise such as emergencies, taking initiative, dealing with high volume on the phone as well as in person.
