Summary
As an Electrical Technician at Ameritech Equipment Co., you will play a vital role in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems for work trucks, Law Enforcement Upfits and class 3-8 installations. This position is essential for ensuring our customers vehicles are equipped with reliable and efficient electrical solutions that meet industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain electrical systems in work trucks, including wiring, lighting, and control systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with mechanical technicians to integrate electrical components with mechanical systems.
- Utilize AutoCAD to assist in the design and layout of electrical installations.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Document all work performed and maintain accurate records of installations and repairs.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an electrical technician or similar role, preferably in industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design software is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
