What are the responsibilities and job description for the Life Claims Analyst position at Ameritas?
This position uses subject matter knowledge to evaluate, analyze, and adjudicate claims in compliance with state and federal laws while providing timely and accurate service to clients. The incumbent works under close supervision, however, may be responsible for analytical work that requires independent judgment.
This is a hybrid role working partially in-office (Lincoln, NE or Cincinnati, OH) and partially from home.
What you do:
- Evaluates and authorizes disposition of claims.
- Obtains and reviews medical records and financial documents.
- Corresponds with policyholders, attorneys, medical facilities, reinsurers, outside vendors, and insured's employer.
- Performs all claims processing support functions.

- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
- 0-2 years of related experience is required.
